10 000 years ago the last glaciers of Tatras melted. Their track is still visible in the Tatras valleys: their transverse profile is formed in the U shape. Another traces of glaciation include erratic blocks, often found in the least expected places. They were transported and left behind by melting glaciers to their current locations. After longer period of time life has returned back to Tatras. The warmer sunlight warmed the air up and activated water, as well as the soil-formation. Their interaction started to form the forest communities.
